South Alabama Homecoming 2013: Parade, Pep Rally and Wall of Honor Lead Up to Kent State Game
South Alabama's homecoming weekend includes college reunions, a Wall of Honor unveiling, a parade and a pep rally Friday, followed by Saturday's 2 p.m. football game against Kent State at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama’s homecoming weekend begins Friday with a full slate of events on campus, leading up to Saturday’s football game against Kent State at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
Friday on Campus
- 4-5:30 p.m.: College reunions on the lawn of Alumni Hall
- 5:30 p.m.: Wall of Honor unveiling ceremony at Moulton Tower and Alumni Plaza
- 6:30 p.m.: Homecoming parade on South Drive
- 7 p.m.: Homecoming pep rally and basketball fan night at the Mitchell Center
- 9 p.m.: “Battle of the Greeks” National Pan-Hellenic Council step show at the Mitchell Center
Saturday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium
Kickoff between South Alabama and Kent State is set for 2 p.m. Stadium gates open at 8 a.m. for pregame tailgating, which will include a spirit stick competition.
The Jaguar Prowl is scheduled for 11:40 a.m., moving from the southeast corner of the stadium to the southwest corner. The homecoming court will be presented at halftime.
South Alabama, coached by Joey Jones, plays its home games at Ladd-Peebles Stadium and competes in the Sun Belt Conference. Kent State is a member of the Mid-American Conference.
