MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama will hold “JagNight on Dauphin,” a parade and pep rally in downtown Mobile, on Friday, Sept. 25, the night before the Jaguars host North Carolina State at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

The university staged a similar downtown event last season before South Alabama’s home game against Mississippi State.

Parade Route and Schedule

The festivities begin at 7 p.m. CDT with a parade on Dauphin Street. The route starts at Cathedral Square and ends at the corner of Dauphin Street and Springhill Avenue, the location of Moe’s Original BBQ.

Members of the South Alabama football team will take part in the parade along with the USA Marching Band, the cheerleaders and dance teams, and mascots SouthPaw and Pawla.

Pep Rally Program

A pep rally will follow immediately after the parade. Head coach Joey Jones and the team captains are scheduled to address fans, and the marching band will perform. The program will also include introductions of the cheerleaders and the Prowlers.

After the pep rally, KISS 107.3 FM DJ Matt McCoy will provide entertainment until 9 p.m. An after-party with live music will follow at Moe’s Original BBQ.

Parking, Shuttles and Discounts

Parking is available throughout downtown Mobile. Free shuttles for students will run from the campus dining hall beginning at 4 p.m. and continuing until 10 p.m.

Fans who wear Jaguar apparel will be eligible for discounts and special offers at a number of downtown businesses.

The event will take place rain or shine.

Game Day

South Alabama and NC State kick off Saturday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. CDT at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The game will be televised nationally on ESPNEWS.
