MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama’s homecoming game against Kent State will kick off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, the university announced. The game will be streamed nationally on ESPN3.
The matchup will be the Jaguars’ first home game since their 31-24 win over Western Kentucky on Sept. 14.
Second Meeting With Golden Flashes
The game marks the second meeting between South Alabama and Kent State. The Golden Flashes won the first, 33-25, in Kent, Ohio, on Sept. 24, 2011. South Alabama trailed in that game before rallying in the second half and had possession when time expired, with a final deep pass falling short of the end zone.
Remaining Schedule
The Kent State game is South Alabama’s final nonconference home game of the season. The Jaguars will also play a nonconference game at Navy on Nov. 16.
South Alabama will alternate home and road games for the rest of the season. Its remaining Sun Belt Conference home games are:
- Nov. 2 vs. Arkansas State
- Nov. 23 vs. Louisiana-Monroe
- Dec. 7 vs. Louisiana-Lafayette
