MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama junior midfielder Clarissa Hernandez has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s 2012 NCAA Division I Women’s All-South Region Team.
Hernandez, a native of Pensacola, Florida, led the Jaguars in nearly every major statistical category this fall.

- Game-winning goals: 2, tied with junior Kristyn Thacker for the team lead
She also ranked among the top 10 Sun Belt Conference players in each of those categories.
Season Highlights
Hernandez had a career-best four-point match in mid-October, scoring a goal and assisting on two others in a 4-0 win over Louisiana-Monroe. In late September, she gave the Jaguars the lead against Florida Atlantic with a goal on a free kick.
Season in Review
South Alabama finished the season 8-10-3 and qualified for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament for the second consecutive year.
