MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama’s first Sun Belt Conference football game, against Troy on Saturday, Sept. 29, will be televised regionally as part of the league’s broadcast package this fall, the university announced Wednesday.
The South Alabama Troy televised game will mark the Jaguars’ conference debut in their first season as a full member of the Sun Belt in football.
Broadcast Details
The game will air on the Sun Belt Network, a joint partnership between Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) and Cox Sports Television (CST). The network reaches 13 states across the Southeast.
The game is also expected to be carried nationally on ESPN Game Plan and ESPN3 outside CSS and CST markets.
Kickoff Moved to 2:30 p.m.
To accommodate the television broadcast, kickoff has been moved up to 2:30 p.m.
Program Background
South Alabama began playing football in 2009 under head coach Joey Jones, who has led the program since its start. The Jaguars play their home games at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile.
