MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama’s 2012 football season opener against Texas-San Antonio on Thursday, Aug. 30, will be streamed nationally on ESPN3 as part of the Sun Belt Conference’s fall television package, the university announced Thursday.
The announcement came a day after South Alabama said its Sun Belt Conference opener against Troy will also be televised.
Two Games Confirmed for ESPN3
The UTSA game is the first of two South Alabama games currently scheduled for ESPN3. The Jaguars’ Sept. 15 game at North Carolina State in Raleigh, N.C., is also slated for the network.

The 2012 season is South Alabama’s first as a member of the Sun Belt Conference in football. The Jaguars are coached by Joey Jones, who has led the program since it began play in 2009.
