Nicholls State turned 25 South Alabama turnovers into 25 points and beat the Jaguars 68-60 in women’s basketball on Wednesday night, dropping South Alabama to 0-3 on the season.
Emani White and KK Babin combined for 49 of the Colonels’ 68 points.
Dunn Leads the Jaguars
Meghan Dunn led South Alabama with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range.
Rachel Cumbo scored a career-high 12 points, making 4 of 8 shots from the field and all three of her free throws. Breanna Hall added nine points, and Brittany Webb finished with six points and six assists.
Shooting Not Enough
South Alabama shot 46 percent from the field and made 8 of 18 3-point attempts. The 25 turnovers offset that efficiency, with Nicholls State scoring 25 points off South Alabama miscues.
