MOBILE, Ala. — Tia Faleru scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as Ole Miss beat the South Alabama women’s basketball team 72-56 on Monday night at the Mitchell Center.
The Rebels won their seventh straight game and improved to 8-4. The loss ended a two-game winning streak for South Alabama, which fell to 2-7.
Faleru Takes Over
Faleru scored 18 of her points in the second half and sparked a 16-4 Ole Miss run early in the period. The performance gave her a seventh double-double this season.
Davis Matches Career High
Colby Davis led South Alabama with 17 points, matching her career best for the third time in four games.
Meghan Dunn added 11 points. Brittany Webb scored 10, tying her career high with her second straight 10-point game. Ronneka Robertson led the Jaguars with 12 rebounds.
Olivia Mohler, who joined the team Friday, made her South Alabama debut late in the game and recorded her first rebound.
