FOLEY, Ala. — The South Baldwin Numismatic Society is changing meeting places. Beginning with its November meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 10, the coin collectors’ club will meet at Wolf Bay Restaurant, 20801 Miflin Road (County Road 20) in Foley.
Meeting schedule
The society meets on the second Tuesday of each month. Dinner begins at 5 p.m., and a formal meeting follows at 6 p.m. Anyone interested in coin collecting is welcome. Members and guests are encouraged to bring coins they have questions about or might want to sell.
About the club
The society is a member club of the American Numismatic Association. It offers memberships for individuals, families and young numismatists, as well as for seasonal residents, often called snowbirds.
Besides the monthly meetings, the club hosts an annual coin show each January at the Foley Civic Center. Past shows have been billed as the Gold Coast Coin and Currency Show and have run over a Saturday and Sunday at the civic center, which is on East Laurel Avenue. Watch for the 2027 dates from the club.
