MOBILE, Ala. — With rain in the forecast, much of the Week 7 high school football schedule moved up a night. Here are the Week 7 football scores from Thursday’s games across Mobile County, Baldwin County and the Pensacola area, led by Daphne’s 41-9 win over Robertsdale and No. 1 Williamson’s shutout of previously unbeaten Orange Beach.
Sixteen area games were shifted from Friday to Thursday, Oct. 1, after a soggy late-week forecast prompted coaches and school officials to look for a drier window. Several games remain on Friday’s schedule.

- Bayshore Christian 40, Snook Academy 20

Game of the Night: Daphne 41, Robertsdale 9
Daphne forced four turnovers, quarterback Christian Segar threw two touchdown passes and Sheldon Richardson ran for two more scores as the Class 6A, No. 6-ranked Trojans rolled past Robertsdale at Jubilee Stadium.
The Trojans scored on each of their first two possessions. Richardson opened the scoring on a 25-yard run, and Segar found Landon Forrest for a 17-yard touchdown to put Daphne up 14-0.
From there, the Daphne defense took over. Kaden Brown had a hand in two of Robertsdale’s first three turnovers, intercepting Golden Bears quarterback Cub Jones and later recovering a fumble after Paul Kyles stripped the ball from Jones. Jaysean Willis added a defensive touchdown, rumbling 70 yards with a fumble by Malachi Landrum to make it 21-0.
Another Robertsdale giveaway set up Richardson’s second touchdown, a 19-yard run that pushed the lead to 28-0 early in the second half.
Robertsdale got on the board in the third quarter when Jones hit Willie McCovery for a 19-yard touchdown pass. Segar answered in the final minute of the quarter with his second touchdown throw, a 33-yarder to Carson Leverett.
Daphne’s defense kept the pressure on in the fourth quarter, sacking Jones twice, first by Michael Meier and then by Canaan Guy. Robertsdale added a safety, but the Trojans answered on the ensuing possession when Karson Lacey intercepted Jones and returned it for a touchdown.

- Sheldon Richardson 19-yard run

Five Straight for the Trojans
Daphne improved to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in region play. The Trojans have won five straight since a season-opening loss to Spanish Fort. That streak includes a dramatic 22-19 comeback over Baker in which Segar, a South Alabama commit, led a go-ahead drive in the final seconds, and Lacey sealed the win with an interception on the last play.
Both Daphne and Robertsdale were coming off an open week.
What’s next: Daphne travels to Foley next week. Robertsdale (1-5, 1-2) returns home to face Alma Bryant.
Williamson 42, Orange Beach 0
The week’s most anticipated game turned into a statement for Williamson. The top-ranked Lions shut out Orange Beach in a Class 4A, Region 1 showdown, handing the Makos their first loss of the season.
Orange Beach entered 6-0, the best start in school history, and 3-0 in the region. The Makos had outscored their opponents 216-46. Williamson came in 2-0 in the region and had allowed only 18 points all season, all of them in a 19-18 win at Pine Forest in Pensacola on Sept. 10.
Thursday’s result gives Williamson control of the region race. Orange Beach falls to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the region.
Theodore 37, Blount 13
Theodore picked up a pivotal Class 5A, Region 1 win on the road. The game featured two of the state’s most productive running backs, Theodore senior Kendrick Able Jr. and Blount junior Keevaughn Johnson, as well as a matchup of first-year head coaches, Randy Larson at Theodore and Gus Smith at Blount.
Theodore entered 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the region and improves to 4-2 and 3-1. Blount falls to 2-4 and 1-3. Theodore still has region games against Spanish Fort and Gulf Shores ahead.
Spanish Fort 41, Murphy 8
Spanish Fort stayed unbeaten in Class 5A, Region 1 play with a convincing home win over Murphy. The Toros entered 3-0 in the region alongside Gulf Shores. Murphy, under coach Sherman Williams, falls to 1-5.
Foley 42, Davidson 28
Foley won a Class 6A matchup at home against Davidson. Earlier this season the Lions outlasted Baker 48-45 in a high-scoring game at home. Foley next hosts Daphne in a game that will test the Trojans’ five-game winning streak.
St. Michael 39, Faith Academy 21
St. Michael won its second straight game, following last week’s 37-19 upset of then-unbeaten Bayside Academy with a home win over Faith Academy in Private Class AA. The Cardinals improve to 3-3, and Faith falls to 2-4. St. Michael’s offense has leaned heavily on junior running back Nygel Mitchell since starting quarterback Gunner Rivers was hurt in Week 1.
Bayshore Christian 40, Snook Academy 20
Bayshore Christian won on the road at Snook in Private Class A play.
Still to Come
More scores are expected as other Thursday games go final, and several area games remain on Friday’s schedule, including Fairhope at Alma Bryant, Mary G. Montgomery at Baker, Bayside Academy at Cottage Hill Christian, Providence Christian at Mobile Christian, St. Paul’s at Montgomery Catholic and UMS-Wright at Glenwood. With rain still in the forecast, fans should check with schools for any additional schedule changes before heading out.
