Crawfish lovers mark your calendars: the 6th Annual Duel on Dauphin returns to downtown Mobile on Sunday, June 8, pitting local venues against each other in a battle for the title of Best Crawfish.
Hayley’s, LoDa Bier Garten, Xcite and The Brickyard will compete this year. Admission is $5 or five non-perishable food items, and the event starts at 2 p.m.
The Duel began in 2008 as a friendly rivalry between Hayley’s and Boo Radley’s. It has since grown into a community benefit for the Bay Area Food Bank, raising roughly $1,200 to $2,000 in a typical year along with donated food.
Expect live music, raffles and a lively crowd of mudbug enthusiasts. Celebrity judges are kept under wraps until the event. Proceeds help feed neighbors in need across the Mobile area.
