Creola police are asking the public to help identify a suspect who walked into a Highway 43 liquor store armed with what appeared to be a knife and robbed the register.
According to the Creola Police Department, surveillance footage from Hwy 43 Package shows the suspect entering the store with his face partially hidden by a jacket and approaching the counter with the blade in hand. The cashier quickly opened the register and handed over an unknown amount of cash.
Investigators release surveillance stills
Police shared images from the store’s surveillance system hoping someone will recognize the man. He fled on foot after taking the money, and investigators have not announced an arrest.
Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect’s identity is asked to contact the Creola Police Department. Creola sits along U.S. Highway 43 in north Mobile County, where the small department typically relies on tips from residents to close cases like this one.
