A Saraland teenager has died following a single-vehicle crash in Creola, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
ALEA said 19-year-old Halstyn J. Baggett was killed when the 2008 Toyota Tacoma he was driving left the roadway and overturned. The crash happened Thursday, Aug. 6, at about 9:15 p.m. on Dead Lake Marina Road near Dead Lake Road in Creola.
According to the agency’s news release, Baggett was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
ALEA troopers investigate serious and fatal crashes across Alabama’s roadways, including in rural areas of Mobile County such as Creola. No further details about the circumstances of the crash have been released.
