Family members and friends of a young Mobile father gunned down last summer gathered Saturday to honor his life, with at least three dozen people turning out for a rally in memory of 25-year-old Jamir Isaiah Kholil Hannah.
Hannah was killed in August at the Avalon Plaza Apartments in Mobile. Loved ones described him as a kind, bright young man who was motivated to provide for his family, and they said they are still seeking justice in his death.
Tadarian Dale was arrested and charged with murder in connection with the killing, according to family members.
A Scholarship in His Name
Alongside the rally, Hannah’s family set up a GoFundMe campaign aimed at starting a scholarship for athletes attending Alabama State University — a tribute they hope will carry his legacy forward through students chasing their own futures.
