Infirmary Health is revising its visitor policy in response to a rise in COVID-19 cases since the Omicron variant was first detected on the Gulf Coast.
Under the updated policy, patients may have one visitor at a time. Visitors must be at least 18 years old, and overnight visitors are not permitted.
The health system said the change is meant to help protect patients, staff and visitors as case counts climb in the region. Infirmary Health operates hospitals across Mobile and Baldwin counties.
