Mobile Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the owner of a briefcase found stuffed with fossils, geodes and a carved object.
Investigators say a citizen came across the briefcase and turned it over to police. Detectives report that, at this time, nothing matching its description has been reported stolen.
A detective did their best to catalog the items found inside the briefcase for anyone who might recognize them.
Anyone who believes the briefcase belongs to them is asked to call the Mobile Police Department’s Investigation Unit at 251-208-1231.
