The Mobile Yacht Club is preparing to host its annual charity regatta this October, with proceeds from the weekend-long event benefiting USA Health Children’s and Women’s Hospital.
The 2026 edition of the MYC Charity Regatta promises a packed schedule of sailing, family entertainment and fundraising activities spanning three days on Mobile Bay.
Friday, October 9: Registration and Auction Night
The festivities kick off at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 9, with regatta registration. From 6 to 10 p.m., attendees can participate in a silent auction and the popular Calcutta Auction, a traditional sailing event auction where bidders wager on which boat will win. A draw down event, food and beverages will round out the evening. Skippers will gather at 7:45 p.m. for a mandatory meeting to review race rules and conditions.
Saturday, October 10: Family Fun and Duck Derby
Saturday afternoon shifts the focus to family-friendly entertainment beginning at 3 p.m. Activities include live music, snow cones and an inflatable slide for children. The highlight of the day is the Rubber Duck Races, scheduled for 4:30 p.m., where numbered rubber ducks compete in a race across the water. The Rubber Duck Derby Award Presentation follows at 6:30 p.m.
Sunday, October 11: Race Day
The main sailing race gets underway at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 11. After the competition wraps up, awards and Calcutta prizes will be presented to the top finishers. Live music will entertain the crowd from 4 to 7 p.m., with food plates available starting at noon throughout the day.

Registration for the regatta costs 0. For those who want to try their luck in the Rubber Duck Derby, individual ducks are available for each or five for 0. All proceeds support the lifesaving work at USA Health Children’s and Women’s Hospital, which provides critical pediatric and maternal care to families across the Mobile area.
