ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — Getting in shape this fall could be as simple as filling in a game card. Orange Beach Parks & Recreation is launching Fall Fitness Bingo, a free monthlong challenge that runs September 1 through September 30 and rewards participants for mixing up their activity routines.
How the Game Works
Registered participants receive a bingo-style game card filled with a wide variety of physical activities. Over the course of the month, they complete enough activities in a row to score a Bingo, which earns prizes and entries into a prize drawing. Those ambitious enough to finish every activity on the card qualify for the Blackout Bonus Prize Drawing — an extra shot at winning for the most dedicated players.
The challenge spans all 30 days of September, giving participants plenty of time to work through the card at their own pace.
Designed for Every Fitness Level
Organizers designed the activity options to be varied enough that there is something for every type of mover. Whether someone prefers walking the neighborhood, stretching at home, or trying something entirely new, the card is meant to encourage people to break out of a rut in a low-pressure way.
The program is open to everyone, regardless of current fitness level — a deliberate choice by the department to keep the challenge welcoming rather than competitive. There is no cost to sign up or play.
