South Alabama Forward Gregoryshon Magee Out Four to Six Weeks After Knee Surgery

South Alabama forward Gregoryshon Magee will miss four to six weeks after surgery to repair a minor meniscus tear suffered in practice, coach Ronnie Arrow said.

MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama forward Gregoryshon Magee is expected to miss four to six weeks after undergoing knee surgery, head coach Ronnie Arrow announced Saturday.

Magee tore the meniscus in his knee during practice and had surgery Friday.

Minor Tear

Arrow said the injury was not severe.

“The MRI showed a minor tear that needed to be cleaned up,” Arrow said. “If everything works out, he should be back within four to six weeks.”

About Magee

Magee is a 6-foot-9 junior from New Orleans. He joined South Alabama from Neosho County Community College.

The Jaguars, members of the Sun Belt Conference, are preparing for the 2012-13 season, with home games played at the Mitchell Center.
