Arrow on the Florida State Win
Head coach Ronnie Arrow said his team did what was needed to win in Tallahassee.
“I think our guys did a heck of a job of doing what they had to do to win,” Arrow said. “Everybody that got into the game contributed. Did we do everything right? No, but we did a lot of good things.”
“At the end of the game, we showed the ability to win big games,” Arrow said. “We hit free throws, we got stops and if we didn’t get a stop, we held them to one shot. We showed maturity in key situations at the end of the game. For this early in the season, I thought that was good against a quality team.”
Allen Earns Weekly Honors
Antoine Allen, who scored a career-high 21 points against Florida State, was honored Tuesday with two weekly awards. Allen was named the Lou Henson Award national mid-major player of the week and was also selected Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week.
Scouting William Carey
The Crusaders’ only loss this season was a six-point exhibition defeat against Mississippi State.
