MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama has announced kickoff times for its first two road football games of the 2014 season, at Kent State and Idaho.
Season Opener at Kent State
The Jaguars open the season Saturday, Sept. 6, at Kent State in Kent, Ohio. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. CDT, and the game will be streamed live on ESPN3.
It will be the third meeting between the programs and South Alabama’s second trip to Kent. The Golden Flashes won the first meeting in Ohio in 2012, and South Alabama won last season’s game in Mobile.
Two Home Games Follow
After the opener, South Alabama returns home for two games at Ladd-Peebles Stadium: its home opener against Mississippi State and its Sun Belt Conference opener against Georgia Southern, which is joining the league this season.
Trip to Idaho
The Jaguars’ next road game is Sept. 27 at Idaho in the Kibbie Dome in Moscow, Idaho. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. CDT. Idaho begins its first season in the Sun Belt this fall as a football-only member.
Kickoff times for South Alabama’s remaining games have not been set. The Jaguars are coached by Joey Jones.
