MOBILE, Ala. — The South Alabama Texas State game will kick off at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, the Sun Belt Conference office and the University of South Alabama announced.

The game is South Alabama’s final Sun Belt Conference game of the season.

Bowl Eligibility on the Line

South Alabama is 5-4 overall and 4-3 in the Sun Belt. A win would give the Jaguars a sixth victory and make them eligible for a bowl game for the first time in program history.

Texas State is also 5-4, with a 3-2 conference record, and is likewise seeking a sixth win.

Coming Off a Road Loss

The Jaguars return home after a 45-10 loss at Arkansas State on Saturday, a game they played short-handed because of injuries.

South Alabama, coached by Joey Jones, has played its home games at Ladd-Peebles Stadium since the program began play in 2009. The Jaguars are in their second season as a full member of the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision.
