About Navy
Navy is 5-5 after a decisive win over Georgia Southern last weekend. The Midshipmen, who compete as an independent in football, have an open date this week before traveling to Mobile.
After the trip to South Alabama, Navy will close its regular season on Dec. 6 with its annual game against Army.
The game in Mobile is the second meeting between the programs. South Alabama visited the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., last season, when Navy’s triple-option offense powered the Midshipmen to a 42-14 win.
