Breanna Hall Scores Career-High 26, but Louisiana-Monroe Tops South Alabama Women 76-70

Breanna Hall made five 3-pointers on the way to a career-high 26 points, but Louisiana-Monroe went 26-of-33 at the line to beat South Alabama 76-70.

MONROE, La. — Breanna Hall hit five 3-pointers and scored a career-high 26 points, but Louisiana-Monroe made its free throws down the stretch to beat the South Alabama women 76-70 on Wednesday night.

The Warhawks went 26-of-33 from the free-throw line, including 6-of-8 in the final minute, to hold off the Lady Jaguars.

Standings Impact

The loss dropped South Alabama to 7-18 overall and 5-10 in Sun Belt Conference play. The Lady Jaguars slipped one game out of eighth place in the league standings, the final position that qualifies for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.

South Alabama has lost six straight games since a Feb. 6 defeat at Troy, where starting point guard Brittany Webb suffered a season-ending knee injury.
