Thomasville High School’s football program will introduce its 2026 Tigers to the community Friday night, hosting its annual Meet the Tigers event at 7 p.m. at D.F. Anderson Field.
The event gives Thomasville residents their first look at this year’s varsity football team and cheerleading squad ahead of the season opener later this month. Coaches and players will be introduced to the crowd as part of the evening’s festivities.
Following the introductions, families will have the opportunity to walk onto the field and take photographs with players and cheerleaders, a Thomasville tradition that has become a popular back-to-school kickoff for the community.
Meet the Tigers-style events are common across Alabama high schools each August, serving as an informal season preview that lets fans meet new players, see roster changes and build excitement ahead of the first Friday night of the season.
Thomasville’s varsity squad is set to begin regular-season play later this month as part of the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s 2026 football schedule.
