An 80-year-old man died Sunday night after he was struck by two vehicles while trying to cross Rangeline Road near Interstate 10 in Mobile.
Police said the crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Both drivers remained on the scene afterward, and investigators determined that neither alcohol nor drugs was a factor.
Busy Corridor, Dangerous Crossings
The victim’s name has not been released by authorities. Rangeline Road carries heavy traffic through the area near the I-10 interchange, where pedestrians crossing on foot face fast-moving vehicles and limited marked crossings.
No charges were announced as of the initial report. The investigation remains with Mobile police.
