GRAND BAY, Ala. — The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help tracking down a man and woman accused of robbing a Grand Bay gas station at gunpoint.

According to deputies, the pair walked into the Exxon at 9175 Grand Bay Wilmer Road on April 10 carrying pistols and demanded cash from the register. They made off with roughly $670 — though investigators noted they dropped about $40 of it on the way out the door. Four packs of Swisher cigars were also taken.

Distinctive Vehicle Could Be the Break in the Case

What may set this case apart is the getaway car: surveillance images show what appears to be a Ford Thunderbird that deputies describe as a limited edition. Investigators say they are searching for vehicles matching that description in the area, hoping the uncommon model will generate tips.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspects is encouraged to contact the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.
