Baldwin County Primary Election Results: Ball, Davis, Gruber Win; Five Races Head to Runoffs
Jeb Ball, Joe Davis and Skip Gruber won Baldwin County Commission primaries, while five races, including probate judge and state Senate District 32, head to runoffs.
BAY MINETTE, Ala. — About 24 percent of Baldwin County’s registered voters cast ballots in Tuesday’s primary, with 36,073 of the county’s 150,104 registered voters taking part, according to Baldwin County primary election results.
County Commission
In the Baldwin County Commission District 1 race, Jeb Ball defeated Frank Burt by about 1,000 votes.
In another commission race, Joe Davis defeated John Lake by about 1 percentage point, or roughly 1,000 votes.
In District 4, incumbent Skip Gruber defeated Jerry Johnson by 700 votes.
District Court
Judge Scully won the race for Baldwin County District Court Judge, Place 2, with 60 percent of the vote.
Runoffs
Five races are headed to runoffs, including the race for probate judge.
- State Senate District 32: Chris Elliott will face David Northcutt.
- County Commission District 3: Billie Jo Underwood will face Tucker Dorsey, who trailed by 10 percentage points.
- Circuit Clerk: Jody Wise Campbell will face Mark Stejskal. Campbell led by 16 percentage points.
- Alabama Court of Civil Appeals: Judge Michelle Thomason will face Christy Edwards, who finished with a 10-point lead.
