Shoppers in Mobile are getting a fresh option for bargain hunting this spring, as Burlington Stores prepares to open the doors of its relocated Springdale Mall location on Airport Boulevard.
The retailer’s new store at 3250 Airport Boulevard replaces its previous spot down the road at 3168 Airport Boulevard. Company officials said the move brings an updated layout designed around everyday low prices on brand-name apparel, home décor, baby products and more.
“We are thrilled to remain in the community, providing local residents with a new shopping experience for the entire family,” Burlington President and CEO Tom Kingsbury said in announcing the opening.
Ribbon Cutting Kicks Off Opening Weekend
The store opens Friday, March 15, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony set for 8:45 a.m. Doors open to the public at 9 a.m., and the first 500 shoppers through the entrance will receive a free Burlington tote bag.
The celebration continues Saturday, March 16, when the store opens at 9 a.m. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., families can take part in kids’ activities, gift card giveaways and music from a DJ as part of the grand opening festivities.
The Springdale Mall location is part of the discount retailer’s continued expansion across the Gulf Coast, offering merchandise at prices the company says run up to 60 percent below those of other retailers.
