A family pet is recovering after Daphne firefighters pulled a dog from a burning home in the Lake Forest neighborhood Friday morning.
According to the Daphne Fire Department, crews responding to the fire performed rescue and resuscitation efforts that saved the dachshund. The department credited firefighter Scott Bishop with making the save.
No serious injuries were reported in the blaze, and the cause remains under investigation.
