Dauphin Street Beer Festival Back On for October After COVID Postponement
The Dauphin Street Beer Festival returns to downtown Mobile Oct. 16 with about 22 venues and $35 tickets after its August COVID postponement.
The Dauphin Street Beer Festival is returning to downtown Mobile, with the city moving ahead with the event on Oct. 16 after a COVID-19-related postponement earlier in the year.
The festival had originally been pushed from August as coronavirus concerns mounted across the Gulf Coast. Organizers confirmed the fall date would go forward with the full festival format.
Around 22 venues were expected to participate in this year’s crawl-style festival, pouring samples for ticket holders along the Dauphin Street corridor, according to the festival’s website.
Tickets were priced at $35 per person. The return marked a welcome rebound for downtown Mobile’s nightlife economy, which had seen a string of events delayed or canceled during the pandemic.
