Downtown Mobile is about to get its move on.
The Downtown Mobile Alliance is inviting dancers — and everyone who just likes to bust a move — to Cathedral Square Saturday morning at 9 a.m. in honor of National Dance Day.
The plan is simple: participants can learn the official routine ahead of time on the Dizzy Feet Foundation website, then join instructors at the square who will walk everyone through it before the whole group performs together at 10 a.m.
No rhythm required, organizers say — anyone who would rather skip the choreography can simply come out and move to their own beat. The whole point, after all, is getting some exercise and having fun.
