Children across the Gulf Coast did not have to wait until Oct. 31 to get their hands on some Halloween candy this year.
In Fairhope, elementary school students got an early treat Wednesday when they visited downtown shops for a preview round of trick-or-treating ahead of the holiday.
Over in Mobile, young patients at USA Medical Center’s Children’s and Women’s Hospital traded scrubs for superhero capes, wizard hats and princess gowns as hospital staff handed out candy and joined in the fun.
The early celebrations gave local families a chance to enjoy the spooky season together before the main event on Halloween night.
