MOBILE, Ala. — The Harlem Globetrotters are bringing their trick shots, comedy and century of basketball history to Mobile’s new Regions Arena next spring. The team announced that Mobile will be a stop on the Harlem Globetrotters: Rivalry Tour, with a game set for Saturday, April 24, 2027.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. All ticket prices are subject to applicable fees.

A whole new game
The Globetrotters describe the Rivalry Tour as unlike any in the team’s 100-year history, with a new game format, a new lineup of rivals and all-new challenges designed to raise the stakes at every stop. The team says fans won’t just be watching this season, either. The show is built to pull them into the action, from the court to the jumbotron.
The team calls it “basketball without limits,” with every possession turned into showtime.
The fun starts before tip-off
Every fan with a ticket gets access to an all-new, free pre-game tip-off party when doors open. Lucky fans will be pulled onto the court to join the action, while everyone in the stands gets in on the fun as well.
For fans who want even more access, the Globetrotters are offering three premium experiences:
- Ultimate Fan Pass (new): Be among the first fans inside the arena for 30 minutes of first-look, on-court access with the Harlem Globetrotters before doors open to everyone else.
- MVP Court Pass (new): Join the Globetrotters on the court in the moments right before the game begins.
- VIP Bench Tickets: Sit on the team bench for the entire game, front row to every play, on either the Globetrotters VIP Bench or the Rivals VIP Bench.
New uniforms and a commemorative ball
The Harlem Globetrotters, the Washington Generals and the new rivals joining the tour will all debut new game uniforms and fan merchandise, with new team colorways and a fresh look for what the team calls a new era of the rivalry.
The tour will also introduce the Harlem Globetrotters Rivals Replica Game Ball by Spalding, a limited-edition “hybrid” basketball that is half Harlem Globetrotters and half Washington Generals. The ball commemorates 75 years of the rivalry that started it all and will be sold at every game.
A century of showmanship
Founded in the 1920s, the Harlem Globetrotters have become one of the most recognizable names in sports and entertainment, known for ball-handling wizardry, trick shots, comedy and connecting with fans of all ages. The team has played in more than 120 countries and territories and is known for breaking barriers in the sport. Its longtime opponents, the Washington Generals, have been on the losing end of countless exhibitions, making the rivalry one of the most famous in sports.
The Globetrotters’ shows are family-friendly, making them a popular outing for parents, grandparents and children alike.
Another big name for Regions Arena
The Globetrotters announcement adds another event to Regions Arena’s growing inaugural lineup. The venue will celebrate its grand opening with three hometown performances by The Red Clay Strays, with special guest St. Paul & The Broken Bones, March 25-27, followed by comedian Matt Mathews on April 3.
The Red Clay Strays, who formed in Mobile, have become one of the fastest-rising bands in country and Southern rock. St. Paul & The Broken Bones, a soul band from Birmingham, will join them for the arena’s opening run.
Arena officials say more concerts, family shows, sporting events and live entertainment will be announced in the coming weeks and months.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. Fans should buy through Regions Arena’s official box office or its authorized ticketing partner to avoid counterfeit tickets and marked-up resale prices. Premium experiences such as the Ultimate Fan Pass and VIP Bench Tickets are typically limited, so families interested in those options may want to be ready when sales open.
