Hayley’s Bar brings its own twist to Halloween this year with “Party Like It’s 1999” on Saturday, Oct. 29. The themed costume party honors the many music and Hollywood figures lost in 2016, from David Bowie and Prince to Gene Wilder and Alan Rickman, inviting guests to come as a favorite star.
The late-night party starts at 10 p.m. and runs until the last guest leaves. DJ Twiggins from 97.5 FM spins from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., bartenders host bar games, and a costume contest offers a $200 grand prize.
“Hayley’s has some of the most eccentric and awesome regulars downtown, so the costumes are always outrageous,” bartender Wil Reid said. Hayley’s Bar is at 278 Dauphin St., a 21-and-up venue known for late hours and cheap drink specials.
