Tuscaloosa’s Bad Cologne, a newly formed band built from members of several area groups, is on tour supporting SouthSounds Festival alums The Dirty Lungs. The pair plays The Blind Mule in Mobile on Oct. 8, with Mobile’s The Hallers opening. Doors are at 9 p.m., the show at 10 p.m., with a $5 cover for 21-and-up and $10 for ages 18 to 20.
Guitarist and vocalist Ronnie Lee Gipson said the band came together around a shared love of “rock ‘n’ roll and partying.” The group is tracking its first release with engineer Lynn Bridges, though the process paused when Gipson was shot and needed time to recover. He expects the record within three to four months.
Bad Cologne is excited to reach new listeners in the Azalea City. “We are thrilled to get out on the road and play our first solid string of dates,” Gipson said.
