Mobile police are investigating after a 6-year-old boy was found dead at the Navco Oaks Apartments on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 1.
Homicide investigators responded to the scene, though authorities noted that does not necessarily mean foul play was involved. Few details were released as the investigation got underway.
Mother Found Unconscious
In an update, Mobile police said the boy’s mother — identified only as a 44-year-old woman — may have information connected to his death. Officers had found her unconscious around noon in the parking lot of an At Home furniture store on Schillinger Road.
