Recycling bins at the curb in a Mobile, Alabama neighborhoodMobile is surveying residents by phone about the city's recycling options.

Mobile residents should not be surprised if their phone rings — the city is conducting a telephone survey to learn how Mobilians view its recycling options.

The University of South Alabama is carrying out the survey on the city’s behalf. Officials are urging residents who receive a call to take part and share their feedback.

Survey Follows Recycling Center Reopening

The outreach comes shortly after the city’s recycling center reopened on Oct. 13, following a fire that had halted transport of Mobile’s recyclables to a Florida processing facility.
