One Caught, Two at Large After Robbery and Chase Through West Mobile

Mobile police have one suspect in custody after an overnight gas station robbery — but two others slipped away on foot following a chase through west Mobile.

Officers were called to 3601 Moffett Road just after 3 a.m. Tuesday in response to a robbery at the location. While heading to the scene, police spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s car speeding away.

When officers activated lights and sirens, the vehicle refused to stop, leading police on a pursuit that ended in a wooded area off Athey Road. Three people bailed out of the car and ran.

Marvelis T. Hudson, 19, was captured and arrested at the scene, according to a police news release. The other two suspects, who were not identified, managed to elude capture, and authorities have not said whether they have been located since.

The investigation into the robbery remains active as police work to identify the remaining suspects.
