Brewton police are investigating a report of a gun seen near Brewton Elementary School on Wednesday.
A student reported seeing a gun inside a car driving near the playground on West Jackson Street, according to officers. Brewton Police checked the surrounding area but did not find any vehicles matching the description.
Extra patrols were stationed around the school as a precaution. Police say they have no reason to believe any students were in danger.
