MOBILE, Ala. — Florida Atlantic won two of three games at Eddie Stanky Field over the weekend and moved past South Alabama baseball into first place in the Sun Belt Conference standings.
South Alabama entered the series with a one-game lead over the Owls. After the weekend, FAU stands at 18-8 in league play and 30-17 overall, while the Jaguars are 16-7 in the Sun Belt and 29-19 overall.
Friday: FAU 7, South Alabama 2
Florida Atlantic opened the series with a 7-2 win Friday night.
Saturday: South Alabama 6, FAU 5
The Jaguars rallied Saturday night and won 6-5 when the winning run scored on a balk in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Sunday: FAU 6, South Alabama 3
South Alabama led 3-0 entering the top of the eighth inning Sunday afternoon before Florida Atlantic scored five runs on six hits in the inning, including back-to-back home runs, to go ahead 5-3. The Owls added a run in the top of the ninth.

South Alabama has two Sun Belt series left in the regular season, while Florida Atlantic has one remaining, against FIU.
