A head-on collision in Mobile County has killed two drivers and injured two children, according to state law enforcement officials.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says the crash happened around 1:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, on Old Pascagoula Road roughly three miles west of the Mobile city limits. Mary McKee Vise, 71, of Citronelle was driving a 2011 Toyota RAV4 when it collided head-on with a 2011 Kia Forte driven by Clifford Wayne Stokes, 51, of Theodore.
Both Drivers Pronounced Dead at Scene
Vise and Stokes were both pronounced dead at the scene. Two 10-year-old passengers riding in the RAV4 were hurt and taken to a local hospital for treatment; officials have not released details on their conditions.
Troopers have not said what caused the vehicles to cross into each other’s path. The investigation remains open.
