Two men died after an early-morning shooting on Easter Sunday in Prichard, according to city officials.
Officers responded around 4 a.m. April 17 to a report of a shooting with possible homicide on the 300 block of South Wilson Avenue near Interstate 65. Prichard Police, the department’s CID Major Crimes Division, and Mobile County Sheriff’s Office crime scene investigators all worked the scene.
Argument turned deadly
Investigators found two men who had been shot; both were rushed to USA Hospital for treatment and later pronounced dead there. Authorities identified them as Justin Trotter, 24, and Romello Williams, 25.
According to investigators, the two men allegedly shot at each other during an argument.
The case remains under active investigation. Officials had not determined whether the double homicide was connected to another shooting outside the hospital that also occurred early Sunday morning.
