According to an MPD news release, officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Cottage Hill Road and Schillinger Road on Saturday, June 20, just before noon.
During the investigation, officers learned a pickup truck traveling south on Schillinger Road allegedly ran a traffic light and hit a vehicle traveling west on Cottage Hill Road.
The man who died, Alan Grantham, was a passenger in that vehicle. The driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Chase Bodiford, 25, the driver of the truck that hit the vehicle Grantham was riding in, was arrested on Saturday, Aug. 22, and charged with first-degree assault and murder. He also faces a charge of no insurance.
According to the release, the incident is still under active investigation.
