Conecuh Sausage fans have a full weekend to circle on the calendar: the 16th annual Conecuh Sausage Festival returns to Evergreen on Saturday, Oct. 20, with festivities stretching across three days.
The Evergreen-Conecuh Chamber of Commerce and the City of Evergreen once again team up to present the festival, which anchors a busy stretch that actually begins two days earlier.
The PCA Rodeo kicks things off Thursday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m., running through Friday and Saturday nights, with gates opening each evening at 6. Armbands are $10 for adults and $5 for children, or $20 for a three-day pass; children two and under get in free.
Also on the schedule is the South East Regional Fly-In, better known as SERFI, set for Friday, Oct. 19, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with $5 armbands and free admission for children under 12. Saturday adds a car show and the Alabama Junior and High School Rodeo, which continues Sunday starting at 9 a.m. both days with the same $5 armband price — little ones under 2 are free. Entering a car in the show costs $20; spectators watch for nothing.
The festival itself runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring live entertainment throughout the day, more than 100 arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, a children’s area and the car show. Parking is free for all events.
