ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A man was shot twice early Saturday morning while riding his skateboard, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. at West Jackson Street and Kirk Street. The victim told investigators he was riding his skateboard when he was randomly shot twice, in the hand and leg. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a hospital, and is expected to recover.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
