Five Boys, Ages 12 to 15, Arrested After Burglarizing Vacant Mobile House
Mobile Police arrested five boys ages 12 to 15 after they broke into and damaged a vacant house on Binghampton Drive.
Five boys between the ages of 12 and 15 were arrested Saturday afternoon after police say they broke into a vacant house in west Mobile.
Officers responded around 1:45 p.m. on Dec. 11 to a burglary report in the 4400 block of Binghampton Drive. Arriving officers found and detained five boys matching the description of the suspects.
Following an investigation, a detective determined the juveniles had entered the vacant residence and damaged property inside.
The boys face charges connected to the burglary. No injuries were reported.
How juvenile cases are handled
Because all five suspects are under 18, their cases fall under the jurisdiction of Mobile County Juvenile Court. In Alabama, juvenile proceedings and records are generally kept confidential, which is why police do not release the names of minors charged with crimes.
