The fourth annual Witch’s Ball returns Oct. 22, presented by the Raven’s Nook as a celebration of the witches’ new year, also known as Samhain — the last harvest and the start of the darker half of the year. Like last year, it is hosted at The Blind Mule, 57 North Claiborne St.
Tickets are $25 and include dinner and one free drink, with a cash bar available. The event runs 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. and is for ages 21 and older; costumes are mandatory. Entertainment includes food, music and decorations, plus tarot readings from Gypsy LeeLee.
Owner Paula Wahn and the Raven’s Nook welcome pagans, Wiccans and anyone who enjoys Halloween fun. Past events have featured a DJ in the upstairs Attic and an ancestor shrine where guests light candles for departed loved ones.
