Mobile police are investigating after a man was found dead in the yard of a home on Springhill Avenue Thursday morning.
According to a Mobile Police Department news release, officers responded to the 1600 block of Springhill Avenue around 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 6, where they found a man deceased in the yard of a residence.
Police said the case is being handled as a death investigation, but investigators had not determined as of Thursday whether a crime was involved. Motorists were advised to expect traffic delays in the area while officers worked the scene.
MPD has not released the man’s identity or additional details about the circumstances surrounding his death. Springhill Avenue is one of Mobile’s busier corridors, running from downtown toward neighborhoods near Springhill College on the city’s west side.
