The Mobile Symphony Orchestra has opened season ticket sales for its 2026-2027 season, giving Gulf Coast audiences the chance to lock in seats for a full slate of concerts before the season’s individual performances go on sale.
New subscriptions can be purchased online, over the phone, or in person at the MSO Box Office, located at 257 Dauphin Street in downtown Mobile. Current season ticket holders looking to renew their subscriptions for 2026-2027 can do so through the same three channels.
What’s on the 2026-2027 Season Calendar
The upcoming season includes five subscription concerts spread across the fall, winter and early spring:
- Spectacular! — October 10-11, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The season opener features three vivid musical works described by the orchestra as spectacular in color and scope.
- Beethoven & Blue Jeans — November 7-8, 2026. Billed as one of the year’s most uplifting programs, this casual-dress concert includes two of Beethoven’s famous symphonies.
- Swing into the Holidays! — December 12-13, 2026. The orchestra’s holiday concerts have become a long-running Gulf Coast family tradition heading into the winter season.
- Cellobration — January 16-17, 2027. This program centers on sweeping Romantic and Eastern European melodies.
- Four Seasons — February 20-21, 2027. Violinist Chee Yun returns to Mobile for a program the orchestra describes as “eight seasons for the price of four.”
Perks of a Season Subscription
The Mobile Symphony is promoting several benefits for subscribers beyond simply guaranteeing a seat at each show. Subscribers save up to 25% compared to the price of individual concert tickets, and they can bring a guest at a 20% discount off the regular ticket price, though that discount does not extend to special events outside the core season lineup.
Subscriptions also come with flexibility built in. If a subscriber holds Saturday tickets but cannot attend, the MSO allows those tickets to be exchanged for the Sunday performance at no charge, as long as the request is made by the Friday before the concert. Subscribers keep the same seats for every concert in their package for the full season, and they get first choice to keep or upgrade those seats when renewal season comes around again.
Season ticket holders also receive a subscribers-only newsletter with orchestra news and subscription perks, along with early notice of any special concerts held outside the regular season. During intermissions, subscribers have access to the Subscriber’s Lounge in Room 1927, adjacent to the Saenger Theatre entrance on Joachim Street, where light snacks, coffee and a cash bar are available.
Discounts With Local Restaurants
The orchestra has also lined up discounts with several downtown Mobile restaurants for concert weekends. The Trellis Room Restaurant at the Battle House Hotel, located at 26 North Royal Street, offers subscribers 10% off their dinner tab, excluding alcoholic beverages, along with complimentary valet parking. The Noble South, at 203 Dauphin Street, offers a free appetizer with the purchase of an entrée, limited to one per table and available only on concert weekends. T.P. Crockmiers, at 250 Dauphin Street, offers a free house-made bread pudding with whiskey sauce, limited to two per subscriber card, also with an entrée purchase on concert weekends. Mediterranean Sandwich Company’s downtown Mobile location, at 274 Dauphin Street, offers subscribers 10% off their purchase.
